AppChem Expands Its Lovibond® Product Offering

Following the acquisition by The Tintometer Group earlier this year, AppChem Ltd continues to expand its product offering to service the needs of the water industry. "Being part of The Tintometer Group has proved extremely beneficial for AppChem," confirmed Brian McGuckin, General Manager. "The company has always been an advocate and reseller of the Lovibond® brand. The acquisition now gives us more direct access to the newer product ranges."
New products now available from AppChem include the popular MD100 range of portable, handheld photometers. Uniquely, the MD100s from Lovibond® can be used to measure parameters using both powder and/or tablet reagents with specific calibration for both reagent types. Users no longer need to make the choice at time of instrument selection, avoiding limitation in options further along the line or, inadvisably, using tablet reagents in a powder specific instrument or vice versa.
The photometers are available for single or multi-parameter use and are being employed internationally to measure Ammonia, Chlorine, Iron, Fluoride, Copper, Manganese, Phosphate and Silica, with a new release now available for the measurement of Molybdate. The robust waterproof design, large back lit display and data storage function make the MD100 easy to use, reliable and ideal for testing in field, laboratory or plant room.
The introduction of the Lovibond® MD100 product range represents the first of many new product releases from AppChem planned for the near future. As the companies continue to work closely together, customers are already benefiting from the new alliance and will continue to see further developments.
